Human8 (previously known as Gongos and InSites Consulting), the human-driven consultancy, announced the appointment of Chris Robson to Senior Director, Global Data Science. Previously he held the position of Senior Director, Data Science, North America.

By taking on this newly created role of Senior Director, Global Data Science, Chris Robson spearheads Human8’s ongoing efforts to align and formalise its global capabilities. This appointment underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing client value through advanced data science and analytics capabilities.

“Human8 has come together from a diverse set of fantastic companies – and within those there are many highly talented individuals and great client offerings,” said Robson. “Data science is a team sport and I will be making sure that all of our great talent can be working together as part of the global team.”

In this role, Robson will be leading global efforts, utilising a regionally focused structure, to establish strategic global connections. This to ensure that the organisation has the right advanced offerings within its portfolio to meet clients’ ever-changing needs.

Robson started working with the organisation as a consultant in 2019 before transitioning to a full-time employee in 2022. Prior to that, he was co-founder and Principal at Deckchair Data, an insights and analytics consultancy. His extensive experience also includes roles as the Chief Innovation Officer and Head of Research Science for ORC International, as well as co-founder of Parametric Marketing, a boutique analytics and methodology consultancy.

Throughout his career, Robson has held various senior technical and marketing positions at small and large companies, ranging from being VP Engineering at an analytics start-up to managing a global team of software developers at Hewlett-Packard.
